I guess I am going school supply shopping with my mom and sister….she needs some more Hannah Montana stuff and it is probably easier to get it now than late august when “everyone” wants to get them. So I am tagging along, picking up a few notebooks, some pens and mechanical pencils, etc. What really stinks is in high school, they don’t give supply lists. And every teacher is different. I need a binder for this class and a notebook and folder for this one but I won’t find out till the first week in school. Kinda weird and annoying, but hey, it is school, no?
I just think it is kind of funny how stores are advertising their sales in mid-July. Sure, some schools start in mid-august, but I still find it humorous that we are getting ads in the mail from Walmart that they are starting their school supply “sale”! How wonderful! We can finally buy our cheap Chinese pencils and pens at a lower price! How wonderful!
I know for sure I need a English/German dictionary—I wonder if Walmart will have those. Probably, but if not it will kind of suck. And I want a good one that isn’t huge so that I can actually take it to class….maybe a skinny one that has good stuff in it? Oh, who knows what I will find?
And I know for German class I need a BIG binder….lots of hand outs. Probably same for math. But I could be wrong. I am judging my sophomore classes on my freshman classes—bad thing to do. For Health I had a huge binder and I only had 30-some papers in it.
Oh the joys of preparing for school….in college I get to use a laptop! Oh goody! Maybe they will make me have a specific one for that….if they don’t let me have a Mac then I will … well, maybe not. I will be upset. Haha. Oh the joyous times. I guess I will have to find out.
